Recommit To Your Fitness Goals

Do you need to recommit to your fitness goals? Sticking with your fitness New Year’s Resolutions unfortunately seem to fade for most of us after the first few months. For some reason our commitment and motivation aren’t what they were at the begging of the year. Well guess what!? This is something I can help with! Let’s recommit and refocus! Let’s get you back on track or help you stay on track if you’re still going strong with your resolutions. Remember, you don’t have to wait for January 1st to inspire or motivate you, you can do that any time of the year!

Getting back to the basics is key! You do not need expensive equipment or a gym membership you won’t use. You just need to make exercising a habit, part of your routine in your week. Your commitment and motivation to exercise is far more important than what type of exercise you do, or what equipment you have. The basics will forever work – walking, running, biking, swimming, lunges, squats, squat jumps, push-ups, dips, planks, etc. Body-resistance workouts are a great way to get or keep you in great shape! All you need is you and you are AWESOME!

Below is a 15 minute workout that you can do at they gym, home or if you travel. Which means…NO EXCUSES!

WORKOUT
1. Push-Ups
2. Walking Arm Planks (45 seconds ea. side)
3. Interval Planks (hold for 10 seconds, rest for 2 seconds, repeat 6 times)
4. Reverse Lunge Kick Through (45 seconds ea. side)
5. Squat Jumps

Perform each exercise for 45 seconds (except #3) with a 15 second rest in between each exercise. Want more? Have more time? Repeat the workout 2-3 times. Or instead of doing every exercise for 45 seconds increase it to 1 minute and take out the rest time.

As always make sure you are listening to your body. If something hurts, don’t do it. And make sure your doctor knows you’re working out.

Even if you don’t enjoy working out, you always feel better once you’re done, so make that your focus – completion. Maybe, just maybe, once exercise is a weekly habit your body might actually crave it. Stranger things have happened. 🙂

Good luck! Have fun and let me know how it goes.

Shine Brightly,

Ali

P.S. If you liked this workout, here’s another body-resistance workout for you to try.
