6 Butt Exercises To Tone Your Tush

Below are 6 butt exercises to tone your tush. Who doesn’t want a firm, tight, lifted butt?! Especially lately as the rear seems to be the hot body part. A great thing about the exercises below is you do not need to have a gym membership or go buy a piece of equipment. You can literally do these exercises anytime, anywhere so you really don’t have any excuses.

I do find it quite interesting that the gluteus muscles are one of the largest and strongest muscles in the body since most of us do not have a strong backside. But that’s why you are going to do these exercises, right?

Your tush consists of three different muscles that work together to abduct, rotate, and extend the hip.

-Gluteus maximus—the largest of the three main muscles
-Gluteus medius—a pork chop-shaped muscle that sits near the top and outside of your hips
-Gluteus minimus—a fan shaped muscle that is located underneath the gluteus medius

To achieve a firm, strong backside, exercises for the glutes should consist of a variety of movement patterns that hit each one of the glute muscles. Squats, side lunges and step-ups are some of the best glute exercises and should be a part of everyone’s workout routine. But when you need a break from the traditional exercises, try this booty-lifting workout to add variety and to strengthen and sculpt that rear end.

BENEFITS OF A STRONG BEHIND:
1. Powers Your Body (increases your force and power during everything from sprinting, jumping, climbing, squatting, and swinging)
2. Protects Joints (healthier knees and hips)
3. Lower Risk of Back Pain
4. Appearance

Perform the following exercises for 45 seconds to one minute in the order listed below, and repeat the entire set up to three times to feel the burn. Focus on keeping your core and glutes active and engaged throughout all the exercises.

EXERCISES:
1. Single Leg Glute Bridge (stationary or moving)
2. Marching Glute Raise
3. Hydrants w/Leg Extension
4. Rainbows
5. Sumo Squat w/Calf Raises
6. Squat to Sumo

As always, let me know your thoughts. Have fun with it and let me know how it goes.

Shine Brightly,

Ali
